Some Knots

When fishing for BASS, the last thing you want to happen is your line snapping right on the knot holding the hook. Here are some common knots used in bass fishing (well, ones that I use)

The Trilene Knot
I use this knot in both bass and carp fishing. It is a very strong and secure knot. You will see that I have made a slight adjustment to the knot. It works very well with braid line also.

The Clinch Knot
The clinch know does exactly what the name says, it clinches the end of the line, keeping the knot in tact. See the steps to tie the Clinch knot below:


The Polma knot
The Polma knot is especially effective when finesse or drop-shot fishing. A hook can be tied onto the line at any place. When drop-shot fishing, do not cut the line as suggested in step 3. See steps to tie the Polma knot below:
